About
-
I am a Nelson based science communicator specialising in ecology, zoology and conservation. I have an eclectic background with qualifications in film and media, zoo keeping and a Master of Science in Society from Te Herenga Waka/Victoria University Wellington. I have worked for many years in ecology and conservation with jobs in zookeeping, wildlife rehabilitation and wildlife monitoring, as well as being practised in illustration, animation and film production, writing, and presentation.
I am passionate about the natural world and value the ability to foster this appreciation in those around me as well as challenge misinformation and misconceptions people may hold. I’m excited to be able utilise the skills I have been honing for the better of New Zealand’s ecosystem, ecology and organisms.
